Director of the Department of Commerce inspects Meilan Group's overseas projects

On May 15th local time, Shen Yumou, Director of the Hunan Province Commerce Department, led a delegation to San Pedro, Côte d'Ivoire, to conduct an on-site inspection of a significant overseas investment project by Meilan Group. The primary purpose of this visit was to understand the progress of the project and promote economic cooperation between the two parties.

The rubber processing factory invested by Meilan Group in San Pedro is a crucial part of the company’s strategy in the African market. With a total investment of approximately 21 million USD (equivalent to 152 million RMB), the factory spans an area of 170,000 square meters, with the main building covering about 37,000 square meters. It is equipped with advanced production technology and machinery. The factory plans to establish two production lines, each capable of producing 5 tons per hour, with an expected annual capacity of 80,000 tons. This capacity will significantly enhance Côte d'Ivoire's position in the global rubber industry.

During the inspection, Director Shen expressed satisfaction with the progress of Meilan Group's project and highly praised the cooperation projects in Africa at the subsequent symposium. He noted that Meilan Group's investment not only promoted local economic development but also brought valuable technology and management experience to Côte d'Ivoire. Director Shen encouraged the company to continue with technological innovations and enhance its core competitiveness to adapt to the increasingly fierce international competition.

Zhu Chen, Chairman of Meilan Group, provided detailed information about the operation of the project at the symposium and shared insights into future development plans. Chairman Zhu expressed optimism about the prospects for future cooperation and committed to strengthening collaboration with local governments and business partners.

This visit not only deepened the friendly relations between the two parties but also laid a solid foundation for further cooperation.
